"In a world crammed with recycled hype, fad and trivia, a snap on the snare, a swooning roll from Seb is surely more of a real moment than Gaga's gold teeth or Robbie's stage fright. If it does just come down to appearance, Seb, his hair a map of a distant solar system, is far more of an otherworldly pop star than anything cultivated by Cowell and co." Paul Morley

World Premiere: Sponsored by SHED BITTER - real ale from The Shed.

Thank you to Sebastian Rochford. Fov and Karl Butler and thanks to Leeds and York City Councils for entering into the spirit of the occasion and allowing us to use such great venues. Thanks also to North Yorkshire Police in Malton for kindly moving their Crimestopper truck so we could get parked up. Thanks to Jules Bellerby and Jonathan Cowap of BBC Radio York for making sure the whole of North Yorkshire could hear us, and last but not least, to the people who were there to support us. Simon Thackray, The Shed, September 2010.
